Weigh In Results 6/17/11 (Not Good)

Kinda feelin' crappy about this, so I will keep it short and sweet.

I had a small gain of .2 (two tenths) of a pound, which absolutely sucks because I have been following all the rules and drinking an excess of water. I can't even think of what it is that I did differently, so I am at a loss for explanation.

All I do know is that since I started Medifast three weeks ago, I have only lost 2.5 pounds. I just placed my second months order and if I do not make better progress on this plan, I will find something else that works for me.

I did well on optifast, and am now second guessing myself. Hmm... what to do, what to do?

  1. Are you having one of the approved snacks every day? If so, you could try cutting that out. Are you keeping all 5 medifast meals in every 2.5 - 3 hours and an approp. lean and green? If so, one way to break a stall or plateau, although it is a bit extreme... but you could try a 6 and 0. That is just have 6 medifast meals in a day and no lean and green. It greatly cuts those calories down often... practically always, breaking a plateau. Ask your coach about that as it is not always the best option. But don't give up... you are doing so well. And weight isn't always a measurement of success... you may be losing inches as your body is readjusting itself.

    Good luck and God bless!!

  2. Thanks Margene,
I am ready to cut out all the extras and go for the 6 and 0, but I will check with my coach first. I think on top of the small gain, I have had a downer day due to other life circumstances. I suppose not every day can be a good day. I will keep plugging along. I am not about to give up. I still have almost 60 pounds to go!

Thank you for the words of encouragement!

  3. Hang in there girl. I know these new adjustments are hard after running down constantly on OptiFast. I know exactly how you feel ... I have been contemplating taking the option of going back on all liquid. I am so tired of stalls. I just want to get to my goal already. I am ready to train like I want too. It is just hard to think about that after starting back to eat again.

Give yourself a bit longer. Talk with your coach. You haven't lost anything if you press on with this and then move back to optifast. You are ahead of the game actually, because NOW you KNOW how your body will react when you add food back in. Like mine -- it will be a complete rear.

By-the-way, you are looking quite nice there. :)

    Blessings,
Keep us posted on how you do,

  4. Thank you Shonnie,

You are such a love! I hear you. I am just glad that I have found others that actually "get it" It is such a huge frustration to follow things correctly and still have a gain.

The real only difference this past week was that I taught water aerobics twice, and next week I am scheduled to teach it four times. Eeek!

Don't worry, I am nowhere near giving up or giving in. I am a fighter and I have resolved to overcome this monster AND I WILL!

But as you said, maybe it is still an adjustment period and things will fall into place soon.

I will keep you in the loop-
    Cheers-
    Lisa
